Describe how it's connected and get the diagram
HyperTopo keeps the topology of any installation — firewalls, routers, switches, servers, hypervisors, storage, Wi-Fi, ISPs and cloud. Describe it to the AI and it draws it as a proposal you review; then correct ports, cables and racks by hand. Every node can point to its device in SmartInventory.

What you can do
Describe it, see it drawn
“A FortiGate to the ISP, two cores in a stack, three access switches with two uplinks each…” becomes nodes, ports and cables. The AI proposes; you apply all of it, part of it, or undo it.
Any kind of node
Firewalls, routers, switches with their layer (core, distribution, access, spine, leaf), servers, hypervisors, storage, access points and controllers, ISPs, Internet and cloud.
Ports and cables, not just lines
Each link joins two named ports and has a kind (cable, LAG, peer link, WAN, wireless) and a status: live, planned or retired.
Racks, rooms and sites
Group nodes into sites, rooms, racks, zones or VLANs; the diagram draws a box around each group.
Automatic layout you can override
Nodes fall into tiers on their own — outside world, edge, core, access, servers — and stay wherever you drag them.
Linked to SmartInventory
Add nodes straight from your inventory, link a node to its device or register a new one; serial number, location and warranty show next to the node, and the device lists the topologies it appears in.
Your model, from your profile
The chat uses the AI model you chose in your SmartMatrix profile, or another one for a single conversation.
How to start
- Create a free SmartMatrix account, switch on the network tools and add your OpenAI, Anthropic or Perplexity key in your profile.
- Describe the installation in a few sentences, or start empty and add nodes by hand or from your inventory.
- Review the proposal, apply it, then refine ports, cables and racks on the diagram.
Frequently asked questions
Does it discover my network?
No. HyperTopo draws what you describe, add by hand or bring from SmartInventory; it never connects to your equipment.
Can the AI change my diagram on its own?
No. Every AI change arrives as a proposal listing each node and cable; nothing is applied until you accept it, and you can undo it afterwards.
Who can see my topologies?
Only you. Sharing topologies with your organizations is planned.
Is it free?
Yes. Drawing and editing are free; the AI chat uses your own provider key.
